Writers Boot Camp founder Jeffrey Gordon has partnered with producer Paul Rosenberg to start Writers Boot Camp Prods.
New shingle’s aim is to discover and develop feature film projects — for studios and for indepents — through the Writers Boot Camp alumni community in Los Angeles, New York and internationally.
Rosenberg previously served as an exec at Dimension and Imagine and has worked with Scott Rudin, Ray Stark, Brian Grazer and Harvey and Bob Weinstein. He founded Saratoga Entertainment where the feature “Go” was produced.
“With the incredible brand and extensive community Jeff has built up over the years, I have no doubt we’ll be able to quickly put together a slate of commercial projects that will serve as a launching pad for the most gifted graduates of Writers Boot Camp,” Rosenberg said.
Over 8,000 screenwriters have graduated from Writers Boot Camp’s Basic Training and Think Tank programs since 1989. Alumni include David Levien (“Oceans 13”), Heather Hach-Hearne (“Freaky Friday”), Shawn Schepps (“Drumline”), Hadley Davis (“Ice Princess”), Cindy Chupack (“Sex and the City”), Hank Azaria, Anthony LaPaglia and Bryce Dallas Howard, and more.
Rosenberg and Gordon met early on in their careers at the Peter Stark Producing Program at USC Film School.
The new production shingle will operate as a separate division from the coursework, membership services, and consulting support provided by the company. It’s located at Writers Boot Camp’s Headquarters at Bergamot Station Arts Colony in Santa Monica.
