Fusion fest celebrates Chytilova, screens 'Red Doors'

NYU’s third annual Fusion Film Festival will take place Thursday-Saturday.

Fest, which celebrates femme filmmakers, includes a showcase of NYU student pics and screenplays in competition, a retrospective of the works of Czech director Vera Chytilova and a screening of Georgia Lee’s “Red Doors,” the narrative feature winner at last year’s Tribeca Film Festival.

Featured guests include helmers Karyn Kusama (“Girlfight,” “Aeon Flux”), Marilyn Agrelo (“Mad Hot Ballroom”) and d.p. Claudia Raschke.

Guests will participate in panels about filmmaking and a doc workshop.

Iyabo Boyd and Rita Esquenazi are the fest directors.
