MADRID — Emily Mortimer (“Match Point,” “Dear Frankie”) will replace Samantha Morton as the femme lead on Brad Anderson’s crime thriller “TransSiberian” after Morton had to pull out of the thriller owing to injury.

Mortimer and Woody Harrelson play an American couple who board the Trans-Siberian Express from China to Moscow. They are soon plunged into a web of duplicity and murder. Ben Kingsley co-stars as a Russian police officer also on the train.

Part of the ceiling at Morton’s 300-year-old home in London collapsed just a few days before she was due to fly to Lithuania this month to shoot her part in Anderson’s follow-up to “The Machinist.” Doctors recommended total rest.

The producers Filmax Ent. were unable to rejig the shooting schedule at such short notice.

“TransSiberian rolled from Dec. 11 in Vilnius, Lithuania. It will move on to locations in Russia and Beijing.
