Arts film fest sets Berlin bow

World Brief

Doku.Arts — the Intl. Festival for Films on Art — will bow in Berlin this autumn.

Fest will present films covering a wide range of artistic activities, including music, literature, performing arts, architecture, cinema, photography and fine arts.

While the focus is docs, there is also “the chance to see films that are between fiction and documentary,” said fest founder Andreas Lewin. “A further aim is to show films which transcend the boundaries between the arts and which connect the languages of art and film.”

Doku.Arts runs Sept. 15-17. Its principal funder and host is the Berlin-based Academy of Arts.
