LONDON — Universal Pictures Intl. has tapped managing directors for the Nordic and Iberian regions.

Ivor Viljoen will head up Nordic (encompassing Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland), and Edgar Adelmund takes Spain and Portugal.

Viljoen, who spent six years as senior veepee, Europe, at Paramount Home Entertainment Intl., reports to London-based Eddie Cunningham, UPI regional managing director U.K., Nordic and Australia.

Viljoen replaces interim Nordic chief Anders Tullgren, who moves into a senior business development and global partnership role based in London.

Viljoen will move to maximize U’s growth in the Nordic region’s homevid market, with particular focus on the forging of digital delivery partnerships and the expansion of local acquisition activity.

Adelmund moves over from his post as managing director of Universal Pictures Benelux. That post has been filled by Pauline Grimaldi, who expands her role from regional managing director for France to regional topper for France and Benelux.

Adelmund will report to Dirk Lisowsky, regional managing director for Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy and Iberia.
