Penarrocha pacts with Visionaire

'Play' to shoot in the U.S.

Spanish director Vicente Penarrocha, whose “Guantanamero” (aka “Arritmia”) world preems before AFM buyers in Santa Monica today, will produce his next two films via Madrid-based Visionaire. First pic is the English-language “Play,” which concerns a 20-year-old ad agency writer who has visions after playing a vidgame.

Written by Penarrocha, film will shoot in the U.S. in English with an American cast.

Penarrocha and Visionaire are discussing several ideas for a second pic.

Visionaire has also signed Norberto Lopez Amado to direct “The Music Page,” a contempo thriller turning on the lost last page of Mozart’s “Requiem.”

Visionaire was set up in February when Juan Romero’s Suki Films merged with Sarah Halioua’s Finales Felices. Ex-Telespan honcho Jose Herrero joined as the third partner.
