NewYorker climbs ‘Tree’

Cannes Brief

Indie distrib New Yorker Films has snapped up U.S. rights to Iranian filmmaker Majid Majidi’s “The Willow Tree” (Beed-e Majnoon).

Rights were sold off by GreeneStreet Films Intl., headed by prexy Ariel Veneziano.
