As it continues to expand its showbiz ambitions, IDT is beefing up its exec team with two new hires.
Marc DeBevoise is leaving his post as director of emerging markets for NBC Universal’s digital media group to become senior VP of business development and strategy at IDT Entertainment.
He’ll explore new growth opportunities for the company, starting with the digital space.
DeBevoise earlier worked for JPMorgan, Cablevision and Miramax.
Paul Campbell has been tapped senior VP, publicity and promotion. He will oversee all publicity for IDT’s feature film and TV projects, and assist with its home entertainment efforts.
He was most recently head of film sales and marketing for the Village Voice. Before that, he did a five-year stint at Artisan, ending as senior VP, publicity and promotion.
Both new execs will work out of IDT’s East Coast HQ in Newark, N.J.
Moves come as IDT is expanding its slate of CG-animated features and building a theatrical distribution operation headed by Chris McGurk (Daily Variety, April 5).
