Cinema duo team for Dutch treat

Rotterdam, Holland team for performing arts fest

LONDON — The Intl. Film Festival Rotterdam and the Holland Festival have collaborated for the first time to bring a film section to the Netherlands’ leading performing arts fest.

The Rotterdam-Holland program of 20 pics and docs curated by IFFR will unspool at the Holland fest in Amsterdam June 8-11. The section will screen cinema inspired by the performing arts, including the world premiere of Dutch filmmaker Cyrus Frisch’s “Blackwater Fever” and the European bow of Canadian helmer Clive Holden’s “Utopia Suite.”

Rotterdam favorites Stephen and Timothy Quay will show their feature “Institute Benjamenta,” a selection of their shorts and exhibit 20 of their sets and maquettes.
