Ashton Holmes and Emily Blunt have been cast as the leads in Revolution Studios’ horror pic “Wind Chill,” being produced by George Clooney and Steven Soderbergh’s Section Eight shingle and Blue Print Pictures.
Greg Jacobs is directing a script by Joe Gangemi and Steven Katz.
Pic concerns two college students who share a ride home for the holidays but break down on a deserted stretch of road, where they are menaced by the ghosts of those who died there.
Section Eight’s Ben Cosgrove produces with Blue Print’s Graham Broadbent and Peter Czernin. Derek Dauchy overseeing for Revolution.
Holmes most recently starred in New Line’s “A History of Violence.” He’ll next be seen in “The Way of the Peaceful Warrior,” based on Dan Millman’s semi-autobiographical novel and produced by Capital Arts Entertainment and Sobini Films.
Blunt recently wrapped Fox’s “The Devil Wears Prada,” starring Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway.
Section Eight produced “Good Night, and Good Luck,” the political biopic about CBS newsman Edward R. Murrow, starring and directed by Clooney. Shingle also produced Warner Bros.’ “Syriana,” about the CIA’s war on terrorism, starring Clooney and Matt Damon.
