Theater chain adapts for new market

AMC Theaters is designating 72 of its theaters AMC Select venues. They will regularly screen specialty film product on at least one screen.

AMC is the most recent national chain to adopt a specialty marketing program, following several years of similar efforts at Century and Regal.

Locations are in 39 markets, including Gotham, L.A., Chicago, Boston and San Francisco.

AMC operates 5,709 screens worldwide at 418 theaters.
