The Weinstein Co. has placed all its music and soundtracks in the hands of the company with copyrights from Pokemon, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Black Eyed Peas.

In the multi-year agreement, Cherry Lane Music Publishing will represent and exploit all Weinstein Co.-owned music and soundtracks while securing performance rights fees from various music publishers worldwide.

“Both (companies) understand the importance of operating as independents within their respective industries and the benefits that result from that independence,” said Mike Connelly, executive VP, business development for Cherry Lane.

Cherry Lane’s catalog includes “All Shook Up,” “Take Me Home Country Roads” and the Black Eyed Peas’ hits “My Humps,” “Don’t Lie,”  “Where Is the Love” and “Let’s Get It Started.”

Company was founded in 1960 by producer-arranger Milt Okun.
