The remodel that might most impact a Globe partygoer isn’t inside the Hilton, but rather on the adjacent former Robinsons-May complex.
The eight-acre site currently lies vacant in preparation for the construction of an environmentally friendly Richard Meier-designed condo project. But on Globes night, it will be the site of the E! party, which will be held in the tented parking lot; and there’s a tentative pre-nomination hold on the former department store building by Paramount/DreamWorks, which have “Dreamgirls” to think about.
There’s one big advantage these two parties have over the five inside the hotel complex (InStyle/Warners, NBC/Universal/Focus, HBO, Weinstein Co. and Fox): By being BevHilton-adjacent, the two outsiders are easily accessible to post-ceremony guests and can bring in anyone they want to cook their food, which is no small advantage over hotel fare.
