Lincoln Center to fete Arkin

Film Society pays tribute to actor

Alan Arkin is being given the Film Society of Lincoln Center treatment.

Thesp will be spotlighted Dec. 19 at Lincoln Center’s Walter Reade Theater in an event that will look back at the work of an actor an with unusual breadth of credits, including “Catch-22,” “The Russians Are Coming!” “The In-Laws and his current crowd-pleasing turn in “Little Miss Sunshine.”

Arkin will talk with the Film Society’s associate director of programming Kent Jones. Event will also feature clips from Arkin’s wide range of work and a full screening of “Little Miss Sunshine.”

Arkin is a native Gothamite who has worked on the legit stage as well as Chicago’s Second City theater group.
