The American Cinema Editors will fete editors Ed Abroms and Terry Rawlings with Lifetime Career Achievement Awards.
The duo will be honored at the 56th Annual ACE Eddie Awards on Feb. 19 at the BevHilton.
Abroms won Emmys for “Columbo” and “My Sweet Charlie” and received an Oscar nom for “Blue Thunder.” Feature credits include “The Sugarland Express” and “The Jewel of the Nile”; TV credits include “Hawaii Five-O”and “Kojak” and more than 30 telepics.
He also directed episodes of “Murder, She Wrote” and “Mrs. Columbo.”
Rawlings, who began working in the film industry in 1955 at Rank Screen Services, broke into features in 1957 with “Town on Trial” as a second assistant sound editor. Feature credits include “Watership Down,” “Alien” and “Chariots of Fire,” for which he was nominated for an Oscar.
