AUCKLAND — Kiwi pubcaster TVNZ has unveiled online service TVNZ ondemand, with content ranging from catch-ups on local soap “Shortland Street” to sneak previews of new shows and archive material.
Site will go live in March with streamed and downloadable shows.Prices have not been set, but pubcaster is looking at $1.40 per half-hour show and $2.80 per hour. Some content, such as news shows, will be free.
Shows will typically hit TVNZ ondemand 12-24 hours after broadcast.
Pubcaster is still negotiating intellectual property rights with local producers.
