Former homevid exec Jeff Fink has landed the first two clients for his Media Content Management shingle.

The longtime Artisan homevid exec, who most recently worked for Miramax Home Video, will advise Bauer Martinez Entertainment on their DVD releases and seek homevid content for Anchor Bay, then advise them on the pics’ release.

Bauer Martinez Entertainment has a number of releases in the works, including Christian Bale starrer “Harsh Times,” David Ayer’s directorial debut; “Fragile,” starring Calista Flockhart; and “The Darwin Awards.” Anchor Bay has more than 3,500 titles in its library, including TV product from Carsey Werner and Steven J. Cannell.

Fink’s goal is to help producers maximize their profitability throughout the home entertainment process, regardless of the distributor, noting studios release so much product that smaller titles sometimes get lost in the shuffle.

“It’s a big market, and it’s a saturated market in terms of releases coming out on a weekly and daily basis,” Fink said. “I’ll offer oversight on how their product is being positioned in the market.”

He noted homevid is an increasingly important revenue stream to producers, which makes proper oversight essential as the business grapples with digital distribution.

Fink most recently was senior exec VP for Miramax Home Entertainment. Before that, he served as Artisan homevid prexy of sales and marketing for 10 years, leaving after the company was acquired by Lionsgate.
