HONG KONG — The BBC will be the first foreign news org to get its own block of programming on one of South Korea’s fast expanding mobile TV platforms.

BBC has struck a deal with TU Media, which operates Satellite-Digital Mobile Broadcasting (S-DMB) pay TV service. Content including “Asia Business Report,” “World Business Report” and technology show “Click” will air in a 7-9 ayem strand on Channel Green.

The nascent tech launched in May 2005 and claims over one million subscribers to its 15 video and 19 audio channels. A consortium of broadcasters also operate a free of charge rival using related T-DMB standard.
