TOKYO — Broadband giant Usen has signed a licensing deal with MGM to offer studio’s pics on GyaO, Usen’s free broadband Webcasting service, the company announced Monday.

Usen will license everything from classic to new MGM pics, including “Terminator,” “Rocky” and the James Bond series, as well as TV series such as “Stargate SG-1.”

GyaO will start its MGM Webcasts on Wednesday with a package of nine pics, including “From Russia With Love” and “Annie Hall.”

Usen closed similar licensing deals in September with 20th Century Fox and this month with Buena Vista.

Founded in 1961, Usen has nearly 700,000 broadband subscribers across Japan; GyaO had 12.3 million subs at the end of November.
