Jim & Elizabeth Wiatt

CEO, William Morris Agency; board member, NRDC

Green cred: Back when he was at ICM, Jim Wiatt pushed the agency to use recycling bins and print scripts on both sides — making them the first agency to do so — but credits meeting his wife Elizabeth as the real catalyst for change. She is a board member at the Natural Resources Defense Council, one of America’s pre-eminent environmental organizations. She chairs the NRDC’s Communications Committee, is the founder of its Leadership Council, and is the co-founder its Los Angeles Action and Executive forums, which are currently working to reduce mercury pollution and lobbying for a responsible energy policy.

Focus: Designing one of the most eco-friendly offices ever built for William Morris, and spearheading an A-list New York-based NRDC fund-raiser this spring.

Eco mantra: “All I just have to do is look at my 5-year-old and my 7-year-old — they’re reason enough to try to leave the world a better place,” says the WMA topper.
