BERLIN — Cementing its stronger focus on TV production, German producer-distrib Internationalmedia said Wednesday it would replace its supervisory board next month with members more attuned to diversification.
Falling revenue has forced Internationalmedia, parent of Intermedia, to expand from theatrical films, including “Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines” and “Alexander,” since the resignation of former CEO Moritz Borman in April.
It will ask shareholders at its Aug. 23 general meeting to appoint three members with more TV experience: Christian Boehmer, a media consultant who was director of strategic development at RTL Television; Oliver Kaechele, a partner at the McDermott Will & Emery law firm, tax consultant and film financing expert; and Konstantin Thoeren, a producer and former chief exec of UFA Intl. Film and TV Production. Thoeren was one of the producers of Sat 1’s hit mini “Ring of the Nibelungs,” its most successful TV movie last year.
“All of them possess substantial knowledge in the field of theatrical as well as television business,” the company said in a statement.
They will replace Antoinette Hiebeler-Hasner, Matthias Deyle and Ronald Frohne.
