CBS captured the first Monday of the February sweep in key demos, according to preliminary nationals from Nielsen, led by “CSI: Miami” and comedies “Everybody Loves Raymond” and “Two and a Half Men.”

In the night’s final hour, “CSI: Miami” (6.7 rating/14 share in adults 18-49, 18.4 million viewers overall) won out over tough timeslot foes “Medium” on NBC (5.7/14 in adults 18-49, 14 million viewers overall) and “Supernanny” (4.7/11 in adults 18-49, 11.4 million viewers overall). The ABC reality skein hit a new high for a third straight week, taking a small chunk out of both competing dramas.

It was another close battle for the hour’s drama lead between Fox’s “24” (4.7/11 in adults 18-49, 11.1 million viewers overall) and NBC’s “Las Vegas” (4.6/10 in adults 18-49, 11.6 million viewers overall), while ABC’s “The Bachelorette” rose week-to-week (4.2/9 in adults 18-49, 9.4 million viewers overall).

NBC’s “Fear Factor” scared away its rivals at 8 (4.7/12 in adults 18-49, 10.9 million viewers overall) although this year’s round of couples competition is falling well behind last year’s averages. Fox’s “Trading Spouses” (3.6/9 in adults 18-49, 8.1 million viewers overall) was the hour’s runner-up in adults 18-49.

Preliminary adults 18-49 averages for the night: CBS, 5.2/13; NBC, 5/12; Fox, 4.2/10; ABC, 4/10; WB, 2/5; UPN, 1.4/3.
