Morning Ratings Flash - Rick Kissell

With nice perfs from each of its shows, NBC and Fox topped their primetime rivals in key demos Monday night, according to preliminary nationals from Nielsen.

In its new Monday-at-8 slot, Fox’s “Nanny 911” (4.2/11 in adults 18-49, 10.4 million viewers overall) achieved series highs and tied a repeat of NBC’s “Fear Factor” (4.2/11 in adults 18-49, 10.1 million viewers overall) for the hour’s 18-49 lead. ABC’s “Home Edition: How’d They Do That?” ran third (3.1/8 in adults 18-49, 8.7 million viewers overall).

Fox remained on top in 18-49 during a competitive 9 o’clock hour “24” (4.9/12 in adults 18-49, 12 million viewers overall), while CBS comedy repeats “Everybody Loves Raymond” (4.7/11 in adults 18-49, 15.3 million viewers overall) and “Two and a Half Men” (4.7/11 in adults 18-49, 15.0 million viewers overall) placed second in 18-49 and first in total viewers. NBC’s “Las Vegas” (4.5/11 in adults 18-49, 12 million viewers overall) was a solid third place in 18-49 and first in adults 18-34 (4.3/12).

NBC’s original “Medium” (5.6/15 in adults 18-49, 15.3 million viewers overall) won out at 10 over repeats of CBS’ “CSI: Miami” (4.7/12 in adults 18-49, 14.4 million viewers overall) and ABC’s “Supernanny” (2.8/7 in adults 18-49, 7.4 million viewers overall).

Preliminary adults 18-49 averages for the night: NBC, 4.8/12; Fox, 4.5/11; CBS, 4.0/10; ABC, 2.9/7; UPN, 1.3/3; WB, 1.2/3.

In total viewers: CBS, 12.9 million; NBC, 12.5 million; Fox, 11.2 million; ABC, 7.7 million; WB, 3.3 million; UPN, 3 million.
