‘Miami,’ ‘Medium’ mighty Monday

Boosted by 10 o’clock dramas “CSI: Miami” and “Medium,” respectively, CBS and NBC battled to a demo draw on the second Monday of the February sweep, according to preliminary nationals from Nielsen. CBS as usual took the night easily in total viewers.

In the evening’s final hour, “CSI: Miami” (6.8 rating/17 share in adults 18-49, 19 million viewers overall) won out over NBC’s “Medium” (6/15 in adults 18-49, 14.6 million viewers overall) but this marked the closest finish between the two since the night the Peacock skein premiered on Jan. 3. ABC’s “Supernanny,” which had been building in recent weeks, settled for lower numbers this week (3.8/10 in adults 18-49, 9.3 million viewers overall).

NBC’s “Fear Factor” led at 8 (4.6/12 in adults 18-49, 10.8 million viewers overall), topping Fox’s “Trading Spouses” (3.4/9 in adults 18-49, 7.9 million viewers overall) and ABC’s “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” reunion spec (3.1/8 in adults 18-49, 8.7 million viewers overall). CBS laffers “Still Standing” (2.7/8 in adults 18-49, 9.8 million viewers overall) and “Listen Up” (2.7/7 in adults 18-49, 9.4 million viewers overall) both delivered their lowest firstrun scores of the season and ran fourth in 18-49.

From 9 to 10, CBS prevailed with “Everybody Loves Raymond” (5.6/13 in adults 18-49, 17.4 million viewers overall) and “Two and a Half Men” (5.7/13 in adults 18-49, 17 million viewers overall). Dramas “24” on NBC (4.8/12 in adults 18-49, 11.4 million viewers overall) and “Las Vegas” on NBC (4.7/11 in adults 18-49, 12 million viewers overall) were also solid, but ABC’s “The Bachelorette” (3.5/8 in adults 18-49, 8.2 million viewers overall) was down vs. recent weeks.

Preliminary adults 18-49 averages for the night: CBS, 5.1/13, tied with NBC, 5.1/13; Fox, 4.1/10; ABC, 3.4/9; WB, 1.7/4; UPN, 1.4/3.

In total viewers: CBS, 15.3 million; NBC, 12.5 million; Fox, 9.6 million; ABC, 8.8 million; WB, 4.6 million; UPN, 3.5 million.
