HOLLYWOOD — Taking its cue from Nickelodeon’s hit kiddie skeins “Dora the Explorer” and “Blue’s Clues,” PorchLight Entertainment has added a Latina character and an interactive mystery element to its long-running cartoon “Jay Jay the Jet Plane.”
New season will include Hispanic cultural elements and Spanish words and phrases to serve the burgeoning bilingual population across the U.S.
New characters Lina, a 4-year-old bilingual plane, and Montana, a story-spinning pontoon, join the cast of talking planes.
Target preschool auds will be encouraged to solve problems by responding to clues and solving mysteries.
The 3-D animated skein airs on PBS Kids in the U.S., Nine Network in Australia and other kids’ nets worldwide, reaching more than 50 countries.
“Jay Jay the Jet Plane” is produced by PorchLight Entertainment and Modern Cartoons, with PorchLight holding exclusive worldwide distribution rights.
