NBC racked up its second consecutive Thursday night victory on the strength of the highest-rated “ER” in two months, according to preliminary nationals from Nielsen.

In the night’s final hour, “ER” (9.0 rating/23 share in adults 18-49, 19.7 million viewers overall) easily beat its combined competish from a repeat “Without a Trace” on CBS (4.7/12 in adults 18-49, 14.8 million viewers overall) and ABC’s “Primetime” (2.2/6 in adults 18-49, 6.7 million viewers overall). These were the best “ER” results since mid-November.

The Peacock also was solid from 8:30 to 10 wih “The Apprentice 3” (7.1/18 in adults 18-49, 15.5 million viewers overall), which built on its lead-in from a repeat of “Joey” (4.2/12 in adults 18-49, 10.0 million viewers overall).

At Fox, “The OC” (3.6/10 in adults 18-49, 8.1 million viewers overall) was flat week-to-week and placed second in adults 18-49 at 8, but 9 o’clock drama “Point Pleasant” took a hit (2.0/5 in adults 18-49, 4.7 million viewers overall), landing a distant fourth and down 20% from its Thursday premiere a week earlier.

CBS was paced by a repeat of “CSI” at 9 (7.2/18 in adults 18-49, 21.8 million viewers overall) that was a strong second in adults 18-49 and led the hour in both adults 25-54 and total viewers. And leading the way for ABC was the 8 o’clock spec “In Style Celebrity Weddings” (2.6/7 in adults 18-49, 8.2 million viewers overall).
