Roger King

TV movers & shakers

King won’t ever get the recognition of Oprah Winfrey or Dr. Phil, but if it wasn’t for him, those two talkshow giants might not have become national hits. Vanna White, Pat Sajak and Alex Trebek would be smart to buy him a beer and say thanks as well.

As CEO for CBS Enterprises and his King World Prods., King has been syndication royalty for the last few decades. Not only are “Oprah” and “Dr. Phil” ranked Nos. 1 and 2, respectively, but he’s raking in coin on a couple of veteran gameshows as well — top-rated “Wheel of Fortune” and “Jeopardy!”

Eye’s syndie hits under his belt include multi-Emmy-winning sitcom “Everybody Loves Raymond” and top drama “CSI.”
