WIF lauds Bullock, Foxx

Lucy Awards go to Messing, Mullaly

Sandra Bullock, Jamie Foxx, Debra Messing and Megan Mullally are among recipients of the 2005 Crystal and Lucy Awards, presented by Women in Film. Kudos will be handed out June 10 at a gala dinner at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.

Cinematographer Tami Reiker will receive the Kodak Vision Award for her work on HBO’s “Carnivale.”

“Women in Film has always encouraged collaboration, and we actively foster it through longstanding programs,” said Iris Grossman, WIF prexy. “We thought it was high time to acknowledge women and men who have made great creative contributions to our industry by their partnerships.”

Bullock, along with her sister Gesine Prado, and Foxx, with Jaime Rucker King and Nina Shaw, will share the Crystal Award, which honors those who, through their endurance and work, expand the role of women in the industry.

“Will & Grace” stars Messing and Mullally will receive the Lucy Award, which recognizes women whose excellence enhances the perception of women on television.

Deborah Miller chairs the event; Bruce Willis and Arnold Rifkin are honorary chairs.
