Santa parody to TV3

World Brief

Scandinavian format producer Strix has licensed drama-parody skein “24th” to Norway’s TV3. The format will be produced this fall for a December launch.

Magnus Abrahamsson and Jessica Ericstam, head scriptwriters in Strix’s drama department, came up with “24th” and developed it with two of Sweden’s promising young comedy-drama talents, Henrik Dorsin and Michael Lindgren.

Set 24 hours before Christmas, “24th” is a countdown about a worldwide conspiracy against Santa Claus. It’s a parody of the thriller genre with comedy elements.

Strix’s drama department, launched in October 2004, aims to produce innovative drama formats for the international TV market.
