Fox Television Studios has upped Marney Hochman Nash to senior VP of scripted programming.
Move is part of a restructuring that began last fall. Hochman Nash will report to David Madden, the exec VP who took on oversight of the studio’s scripted fare late last summer (Daily Variety, Aug. 11).
Madden said Hochman Nash has already been instrumental in helping him get up to speed on the world of scripted series. An accomplished producer, Madden had previously focused on minis and movies at Fox TV Studios.
Hochman Nash will also work closely with senior VP Lisa Demberg in her new position. Exec had previously served as VP of creative affairs for the studio’s alternative development, which included scripted fare such as “The Shield.”
“We’re proud to be able to rely on her insight as ‘The Shield’ enters its fourth season, particularly since she was part of the executive creative team that developed the pilot and launched the series,” Madden said. “Now that we’ve become more aggressive in the series arena, with a number of projects in the works, Marney is a crucial player for us.”
The studio unit’s recent credits include FX’s Jamie Foxx telepic “Redemption” and TNT’s Julianna Margulies/Dylan McDermott miniseries “The Grid.” Pilots in development at Fox TV Studios include the Fox drama “Anatomy of an Affair.”
Hochman Nash spent five years inside the studio’s alternative division. Before that, she was a development exec at Dakota Films. She’s also done stints at Buena Vista Prods. and the New York-based talent agency N.S. Bienstock.
