NBC Universal has upped Mark Miller to senior VP of cable entertainment ad sales, effective July 18.
Miller replaces former cable sales head Jeff Lucas, who moved to Comedy Central earlier this year (Daily Variety, May 4). He’ll report to NBC U sales and marketing exec veep Marianne Gambelli.
Miller was formerly exec VP of national sales for NBC U Television Stations, overseeing sales and new business development efforts for NBC’s 14 owned-and-operated TV stations.
He also served as exec VP of sales for CNBC Europe from 2001-03, where he handled global ad sales and marketing efforts from his base in London. From 1996-2001, he served as CNBC’s senior VP, sales.
Before joining NBC, Miller was an account manager and later VP of sales at CNN. He has also worked at Westwood One, ABC Radio Networks and Ross Roy Advertising.
