Host O’Brien out of rehab

'Insider' anchor continues recovery for alcohol addiction

Pat O’Brien checked out of rehab Sunday and will check back in with “The Insider” on May 5.

The entertainment mag host entered rehab at the end of March, admitting that he had a problem with alcohol. Shortly thereafter, O’Brien became tabloid fodder when salacious voicemails allegedly made by him surfaced.

Co-anchor Lara Spencer has been handling “The Insider” in O’Brien’s absence.

“I spent time with Pat recently and he’s looking and feeling great,” said exec producer Linda Bell Blue.

As part of his return, O’Brien is expected to appear on CBS’ “Dr. Phil” special next Wednesday, as well as on the gabber’s daytime edition sometime next week.

O’Brien, the former “Access Hollywood” host who jumped to Paramount last year to host the “Entertainment Tonight” spinoff, said he looked “forward to getting back to work.”

“I plan to continue my recovery with the help and support of my family, colleagues and friends,” he said in a statement.
