Cabler brings out welcome wagon for returning skein

Halfway through the soph opener of “Entourage,” Jeremy Piven‘s slick alter-ego, Ari the agent, tells Vince (Adrian Grenier), “This year you’re going to jump to the next level, baby.” At Wednesday’s second-season preem, the cast and crew celebrated a season they hope would bring the show to the next level.

After an unspooling at the El Capitan, the crowd moved next door to the Roosevelt Hotel for an after-party, complete with freebie psychic readings; so L.A., baby.

Using his own powers of prediction, Grenier said: “There’s going to be a third season” (even though the current season doesn’t bow until Sunday).

Others were more guarded. “The first season got critical acclaim … but we still need to build an audience,” said co-star Kevin Connelly. “Hopefully people will follow HBO’s lead and watch the show.”
