Discovery’s Animal Planet has signed entomologist Ruud Kleinpaste to host “Buggin’ With Ruud,” a primetime series on the world of insects. It’s from NHNZ Prods.; Peter Hayden is exec producer. The start date is June 15.

Discovery Health Channel has renewed “Dr. G: Medical Examiner,” hosted by forensic pathologist Jan Garavaglia, which looks into previously unsolved deaths in hopes of bringing relief to the families of the victims. Atlas Media produces “Dr. G,” with Bruce Klein as exec producer.
