Haggis casts pilot star duo

'Oz' thesp Acevedo also slated for skein

Paul Haggis has found a cast for “The Black Donnellys,” setting Jonathan Tucker (“Hostage”) and Olivia Wilde (“The OC”) to star in his NBC drama pilot.

NBC Universal Television is producing the pilot, an ensemble drama Haggis will direct. Production is set to begin next month in Gotham.

Tucker will play Tommy Donnelly, an Irish youth with peacemaking instincts who turns dark after his older (and more volatile) brother is targeted for death by the Italian mob. Thesp’s credits include the Weinstein brothers’ upcoming “Pulse” and the role of Tilda Swinton’s son in “The Deep End.”

Wilde, meanwhile, is set to play Jenny, the woman Tommy has loved forever. Wilde most recently played Mischa Barton’s love interest in “The OC”; she also just wrapped Nick Cassavetes’ “Alpha Dog” and John Stockwell’s “Touristas.”

Also set: Kirk Acevedo, a five-season regular on HBO’s “Oz” who was in the cast of “Law & Order: Trial by Jury.”

“Black Donnellys” cast also includes Tom Guiry, Billy Lush, Christopher Shand and Keith Nobbs.

Pilot is the first for Haggis since “Million Dollar Baby” and “Crash.” He co-wrote the script with Bobby Moresco.
