Fox research exec Lauren Fischer has been bumped up to vice president of the department.
Fischer will oversee the network’s ratings data distribution and work with Fox’s sales, finance and scheduling departments in estimating future program ratings. She also serves as a liaison between the net’s research and publicity departments, providing Fox’s PR team with ratings and interpreting them for the press.
Fischer reports to Fox research senior veep Melva Benoit. She’s relocating to Los Angeles from New York, where she joined the net in 1997 as an audience research analyst, handling ratings estimates and analyzing the media landscape for Fox’s sales and programming departments.
Fischer joined Fox from TV rep firm Harrington, Righter & Parsons, where she was a senior research analyst.
Benoit called Fischer “an invaluable asset to our audience research group in New York” and said the exec “has made significant contributions to the research and marketing group overall.”
