Jerry Longarzo has ankled Touchstone Television to take a new gig as head of business affairs for UPN.
Longarzo will serve as senior VP of business and legal affairs for the Viacom-owned broadcaster, overseeing and negotiating all business, talent and acquisition deals for the net. He’ll report to UPN prexy Dawn Ostroff.
Ostroff said Longarzo would be key to net’s strategy to “aggressively pursue the industry’s top talent and producers.”
Longarzo had been at Touchstone parent Disney since 1996, joining the conglom as director of business affairs at Disney TeleVentures. He moved to Touchstone in 1998, working on deals for shows such as “Felicity,” “Alias,” “Desperate Housewives,” “Lost” and “Commander in Chief.”
Most recently, Longarzo was senior VP of business affairs for Touchstone.
