Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia is getting another dose of Hollywood muscle, inking with Endeavor for representation.
Company, which last year recruited former ABC Entertainment prexy Susan Lyne to serve as prexy and CEO, is looking to the tenpercentery to help it with new TV programming, library deals, wireless applications and, perhaps most importantly, the international market.
Company founder Stewart, who is due to be released from prison later this spring, has already lined up two major gigs that figure to boost MSO’s brand: a syndie gabber from exec producer Mark Burnett and an “Apprentice” spinoff starring Stewart.
Endeavor partner Rick Rosen said there “will be a carefully coordinated marketing plan devised to coincide with the daytime show as well as the primetime show.”
“We’re going to help them to find opportunities to place their content in all types of distribution outlets both domestically and internationally,” he said. Rosen also said the agency’s “glad to be back in business with Lyne,” who worked closely with Endeavor on skeins such as “Alias.”
Lyne said Endeavor’s “focus on emerging platforms and new business models makes them an ideal partner” as MSO looks to expand.
