The Beverly Hills Bar Assn. has named Tom Hansen its 2005 Entertainment Lawyer of the Year.
Hansen, a co-founder of the 17-attorney law firm Hansen, Jacobson, Teller, Hoberman, Newman, Warren & Richman, received the kudo at the association’s annual entertainment law awards dinner Thursday at the Regent Beverly Wilshire Hotel.
Several of Hansen’s clients including Sally Field, Dylan McDermott, David Lynch, John Wells, Paul Verhoeven and John Woo were on hand to salute him. Dennis Quaid gave a musical tribute with his band, the Sharks.
“Working behind the scenes as a staunch advocate for his clients, Tom Hansen has had a tremendous impact on the field of entertainment law,” said Ken Petrulis, president of the BHBA. “We are proud to honor him for his considerable accomplishments.”
The Beverly Hills Bar Association, founded in 1931, has the largest entertainment law section in the world.
