AMSTERDAM — Dutch format broker, distrib and talent agency Absolutely Independent continued a flurry of dealmaking this month with an agreement for new gameshow “Loot” (Il malloppo) with Endemol Italy.
Endemol Italy will produce for pubcaster Rai Uno beginning in early August.
Format is the brainchild of Kirsten Van Nieuwenhuizen, one of the format creators at Netherlands-based Intellygents. “Loot” has been optioned internationally to nine territories but never produced.
Gameshow has a gambling element, with couples winning or losing as much as E200,000 ($241,000) an episode in answering 10 questions.
Pact comes on the heels of a roster of deals inked earlier this month by Absolutely, among them an accord in Germany for the pubcaster KRO’s reality format “Remembering School,” about old classroom acquaintances airing old frictions.
Absolutely reps all of the entertainment formats coming out of KRO’s creative development unit and has similar deals with other Dutch pubcasters.
