ABC Entertainment has upped its top dealmaker, Jana Winograde, to exec VP of business affairs.
Winograde was key in negotiating groundbreaking extended term and repurposing templates for ABC deals with non-Disney studios.
In addition to hammering out license fees for Alphabet pilots, she also oversees all aspects of business affairs for ABC’s primetime, daytime, latenight and Saturday ayem dayparts, along with the Alphabet music division and theatrical post-production.
Winograde reports to ABC Entertainment Television Group exec VP (and Touchstone prexy) Mark Pedowitz.
Pedowitz called Winograde “a gifted and strategic-minded leader” whose “decisionmaking and management skills I trust completely.”
Winograde, who had been senior veep of business affairs since December 2000, came to ABC in January 1994 as an assistant general attorney for litigation and employment practices. In 1998 she was upped to VP of business affairs for the net.
