HOLLYWOOD — The Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences has appointed Garrett Smith, VP of digital mastering operations for Paramount Pictures, to its Science & Technology Council.

Appointment brings the group’s membership to 24. Council is co-chaired by Bill Taylor, Ray Feeney and Acad governor Donald C. Rogers.
