Billy Bush and Shaun Robinson (“Access Hollywood”), Jann Carl (“Entertainment Tonight”) and Chris Connelly (ESPN, “20/20”) will co-host “Oscar Countdown 2005,” the Academy’s arrivals pre-show.
Beyonce, Josh Groban and Counting Crows have been tapped to perform four of the five original song nominees during the broadcast. Beyonce will sing “Believe” (from “The Polar Express”) with Groban, as well as “Look to Your Path” (“Les choristes”) and “Learn to Be Lonely” (“Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Phantom of the Opera”). Counting Crows will perform their entry “Accidentally in Love” from “Shrek 2.”
Kirsten Dunst, Dustin Hoffman, Al Pacino and Kate Winslet (an actress nominee for “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind”) have been added as presenters.
Kudos will be handed out Feb. 27 at the Kodak Theater and broadcast live on ABC. “Oscar Countdown 2005” will air at 8 p.m. PT and segue into the ceremony at 8:30.
