Trevor Engelson and Nicholas Osbourne’s Underground Film & Television and Mike Medavoy and Arnie Messer’s Phoenix Pictures are in final negotiations to produce. Underground is also based at Phoenix.

Senior VP of production Polly Cohen brought the script to Warners production president Jeff Robinov. Phoeniz execs are Brad Fischer and David Thwaite.

Project reps the second collaboration among Underground, Phoenix and Warners, which teamed on another wedding comedy, Mary Elder’s “Flower Girl.” Dan Schneider (“Big Fat Liar”) is rewriting that script.

Phoenix recently set up “Zodiac” as a Warners-Paramount Pictures co-production to be directed by David Fincher.
