Exex have worked on 'Void,' 'Metallica'

NEW YORK — Heading into the Sundance Film Festival, IFC Films has upped a trio of execs: Sarah Lash to veep of acquisitions, Nevette Previd to VP of marketing and Michelle Panzer to veep of public relations for company parent IFC Entertainment.

Lash joined IFC four years ago and has been involved with pickups of films including “Y tu mama tambien” and instrumental in pacting with foreign partners on company productions “American Gun,” “The Baxter” and “Casa de los Babys.”

Lash reports to IFC senior veep of productions and acquisitions Caroline Kaplan. She was a director of acquisitions at Lions Gate Films prior to joining IFC.

Reporting to senior veep of marketing Ron Tsuruda, Previd will develop poster and trailer campaigns for films as well as strategic promotional efforts while overseeing development and implementation of media strategies. She has previously held posts as Atom Shockwave and Fox Searchlight as the studio subsid’s Gotham PR head.

A former vet at Fine Line Features, Panzer joined IFC in 2002 and reports to division topper Jonathan Sehring. She will create PR strategy and head up activities for IFC Entertainment, including film and awards campaigns and corporate strategy.

All three execs have worked together on projects including “Touching the Void,” “The Saddest Music” and “Metallica: Some Kind of Monster.”

“The combined strengths of (the three execs) have helped IFC deliver an enviable slate of films propelled by the smartest marketing and PR campaigns in the business,” Sehring said of the moves.

At Sundance IFC will launch “Me and You and Everyone We Know,” “The Ballad of Jack and Rose” and “Brothers,” while the company’s InDigEnt banner will present “Lonesome Jim.”
