NEW YORK — Indie distributor Roadside Attractions has picked up U.S. theatrical and television rights to comedian Sarah Silverman’s feature concert film “Sarah Silverman: Jesus Is Magic.”
Howard Cohen and Eric d’Arbeloff’s company plans on releasing the film, based on Silverman’s raucous Off Broadway stage show, in early November.
Film was an official selection at this year’s U.S. Comedy Arts and South by Southwest fests.
Pic was helmed by Liam Lynch. Heidi Herzon, Mark Williams and Randy Sosin produced.
Silverman, who established her rep on skeins “Mr. Show” and “The Larry Sanders Show,” will appear in upcoming dirty-joke doc “The Aristocrats.”
Roadside’s upcoming slate includes “Pretty Persuasion.” Shingle is in current release with “Ladies in Lavender” and “Walk on Water” through its IDP distrib venture.
