Fortress Entertainment and Imaginarium Entertainment have bought an untitled horror-heist pitch by scribes Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan.
Fortress toppers Brett Forbes and Patrick Rizzotti bought the pitch and will finance the writing of the script. Imaginarium’s Julie Richardson (“Collateral”) will oversee the script and produce with Forbes and Rizzotti.
Fortress VP Mike Gozzard brought the project to the shingle and will co-produce and oversee development.
Melton and Dunstan’s latest horror spec, “Feast,” won the third installment of Bravo’s “Project Greenlight.” The film was produced by Wes Craven, Matt Damon and Ben Affleck. Pic will be released next year by the Weinstein Co. and Dimension Films.
Fortress’ upcoming projects include “PDR,” being produced with Lions Gate; Chris Cooper starrer “The Road Back”; and dark comedy “The Joy of Funerals,” based on the book by Alix Strauss, to be directed by Stockard Channing.
Richardson created and is producing upcoming TV series “The Chosen” with Frank Darabont under his banner Dark Woods Prods. She and her partner Nathan Holtiz are developing and producing the feature comedies “Snow Job” and “A Rhinestone Alibi.”
Rizzotti, Forbes and Richardson have also partnered in the development of feature doc “American Empire.”
