L.A.-based Filmmates Corp. has named Jeanette Buerling exec VP, production and acquisitions.
Shingle provides equity funding to productions and acquires worldwide distribution rights to movies.
Before joining Filmmates, Buerling was most recently executive director of Hollywood Intl. Finance, a film investment fund that acquired, financed and produced some 38 films with budgets of up to $25 million per picture.
She has also worked with 20th Century Fox, Warner Bros., German network DSF and the Bertelsmann Group.
Producing credits include “The Circle of Fear” for Haim Saban’s ProSieben, “Timeshare” for Fox and Constantin, “Young Sherlock” for USA Network and “Aunt Agatha’s Apartment,” with Melissa Joan Hart and Carmen Electra. She was most recently exec producer of Filmmates feature “Living Life.”
She began her career with Europe’s RTL Television network.
