Duo will forge bonds of ‘Friendship’

D'Amico, Damon pact for 'Beyond'

Myriad Pictures’ Kirk D’Amico and Mark Damon, president of Foresight Unlimited, will jointly sell worldwide rights on “Beyond Friendship,” written and being directed by Elie Chouraqui.

Based on the novel “O Jerusalem” by Dominique Lapierre & Larry Collins, “Beyond Friendship” is set during the turmoil that erupted during the creation of the state of Israel in 1948.

Now shooting on location in Greece, “Beyond Friendship” stars Ian Holm, JJ Field, Patrick Bruel, Said Taghmaoui and Tom Conti.

“Beyond Friendship” is produced by Andre Djaoui (“Modigliani”), Damon, Chouraqui, Jean Charles Levy and Andreas Schmid in association with Blue Rider. Executive producers are David Korda and Andreas Grosch.

Djaoui assembled a financing structure that includes Box Film and Films 18 from the U.K., Cinegram of Greece, Les Films de L’Instant from France, Titania Prods. in Italy, GG Studios from Israel and Germany’s VIP Medienfund.

Sales have been completed with Canal Plus and TF1 in France and Medusa in Italy.
