Coleman sweeps into Material world

Development exec breaks with Icon

LONDON — Martha Coleman has been appointed head of creative affairs at Material Entertainment, the newly formed U.K. production venture backed by Entertainment Film Distributors and New Line.

Coleman joins Material from the London office of Icon, where she worked as a development exec for the past three years. Before that she produced the Oz feature “Praise.”

Material president Robert Jones said, “I am delighted to welcome Martha on board. She has a peerless reputation in the industry and shares Material’s aspiration to produce ambitious entertaining films.”
